Night Shift Snitch Snaps

The Night Shift Snap is the cracker steeped in the dark half of the day. A butter hexagon worked with black-tea chai and cachaça-cinnamon, edged with roasted chicory so the bottom goes deep and almost-bitter, molasses grounding the whole thing. It bakes a dusky tea-tan and snaps dry and warm. Set it under a Night Shift dome and the two make one long steeped-cream note that settles in for the night. On its own it’s the cracker for people who like their sweet with a shadow under it.

The Look: Tea-tan, dark-speckled. A dusky spiced-tan hexagon flecked with a dark chai speckle and a chicory-brown rim, the six vents deepened. Reads like something steeped, not baked.

Runs with: Night Shift, the dome this one was cut for. Works one direction only — which is the whole reason to grab the set.

Storage

Store sealed at room temperature, 60–72°F, somewhere dry and out of direct light. Best within 45 days sealed; once you’ve opened the sleeve, 10 to 14 days before the snap goes soft. Fold the sleeve closed and keep it away from steam — a Snap that caught humidity bends instead of breaking, and the break is half the point. Do not refrigerate (the fridge is a humidity trap and the cracker turns leathery). Do not freeze. If one ever softens, five minutes in a 300°F oven brings the snap back. Holds a clean snap; the chicory edge sharpens a day after baking, which is correct.

Slim cocoa sleeves printed on FSC-certified board with soy-based inks and water-based coatings; the box SKUs use the same matte cocoa window stock as the rest of the line. Turquoise foil stamping is food-grade and aluminum-free where the supplier offers it. Cultured butter from regional dairy partners within a 250-mile radius wherever the season allows. Flour milled domestically; toasted soybean flour milled in-house. No artificial colors — every tint you see is cocoa, cinnamon, fruit powder, or toasted nut doing the work. No high-fructose corn syrup. No palm oil. No pretzels anywhere in the line. Tea, spice, and chicory carry it — chicory is bulk-cheap and reads imported; cachaça in essence.
