Nightcap Suga Snax

You said you were leaving an hour ago. Corn-and-rice cereal squares tumbled in a pale warm-cream coating built on sweet rice-milk custard, then dredged in powdered sugar dusted with grated nutmeg. Doce de leite runs underneath; bourbon and wild honey close it warm. It’s the last-call custard that grew up and moved somewhere with a lock on the door — pale, soft, and a little too easy to keep reaching for. Cheapest custard base there is, dressed up in rice milk and honey so it reads like something you’d be handed in a good coat. One more handful. Then the coat.

Storage

Store sealed at 60–72°F (16–22°C) in a cool, dry place away from direct light, heat, and humidity. Best within 30 days of opening. Re-seal the zip top after every encounter — the powdered-sugar coating pulls moisture from open air and will clump if it’s left breathing. Do not refrigerate — condensation turns the powder tacky. Do not freeze. Custard coating is rich — keep cool and sealed so the powder stays dusty rather than tacky.
