Midnight Mass Liquid Assets

Midnight Mass is the pour for the late service nobody else showed up to. Mulled-cider spice over an almond-marzipan cocoa base, chestnut cream underneath, jujube and cupuaçu sitting in the pews. It’s the most dressed-up cup in the box — almond, chestnut, and mulled spice reading like a holiday you can drink. In hot milk it turns warm spiced-amber with a marzipan sweetness that lingers past when it should.

The Look: Spiced-amber. The tin mix is a warm mid-tan flecked with spice and almond. As a melt bar, the chevron sets in pale-gold milk chocolate, a mulled-spice dust in the valleys, a slivered-almond and chestnut-cream fleck along the crown. In the cup it goes warm amber-cream.

Storage

Liquid Assets is a dry shelf product until you add heat. Keep the tin and the bars cool, dark, and sealed — a pantry at 60–70°F (16–21°C), away from the stove, away from a sunny window. Best within 12 months of the seal date. The tin re-seals; press it shut and the mix keeps its bloom. The chevron bars can wear a pale gray cocoa bloom if they warm up and re-set — that’s cocoa butter surfacing, not spoilage, and it melts out clean the second it hits hot milk. Once you’ve prepared a cup, drink it hot; it doesn’t keep and it won’t wait. Contains nut oils; keep cool.

Sustainability

Matte cocoa tins are steel, refillable and endlessly recyclable. Melt-bar window boxes come from recycled paperboard, printed with soy-based inks, the window film compostable where the supplier offers it. Turquoise foil seals are food-grade and aluminum-free where sourced. Cocoa bought whole and ground in-house; dairy solids from regional partners; spices and nuts worked from raw, never bought pre-blended. No artificial colors. No high-fructose corn syrup. The color in the cup is cocoa, cream, fruit, or nut doing the work. Cider spice and almond essence are pantry-cheap; chestnut stretches the marzipan. Holiday-flagship pour, everyday base.
