Nightcap Liquid Assets

Nightcap is the pour you make when the party’s over and you’re the last one up. Sweet rice-milk custard with nutmeg and a bourbon-flavor warmth, a doce de leite drizzle, wild honey closing it out. It’s a nightcap custard rebuilt as a white drinking chocolate — thick, custardy, spiced, and completely alcohol-free no matter how much it tastes like it isn’t. In hot milk it turns pale custard-gold with a nutmeg dust.

The Look: Custard-gold. The tin mix is a soft pale gold flecked with nutmeg. As a melt bar, the chevron sets in creamy off-white, a fine nutmeg grate across the ridges, a thin doce de leite drizzle caught in the valleys. In the cup it goes warm custard-cream.

Storage

Liquid Assets is a dry shelf product until you add heat. Keep the tin and the bars cool, dark, and sealed — a pantry at 60–70°F (16–21°C), away from the stove, away from a sunny window. Best within 12 months of the seal date. The tin re-seals; press it shut and the mix keeps its bloom. The chevron bars can wear a pale gray cocoa bloom if they warm up and re-set — that’s cocoa butter surfacing, not spoilage, and it melts out clean the second it hits hot milk. Once you’ve prepared a cup, drink it hot; it doesn’t keep and it won’t wait. Contains honey, so keep it from infants under 12 months.

Sustainability

Matte cocoa tins are steel, refillable and endlessly recyclable. Melt-bar window boxes come from recycled paperboard, printed with soy-based inks, the window film compostable where the supplier offers it. Turquoise foil seals are food-grade and aluminum-free where sourced. Cocoa bought whole and ground in-house; dairy solids from regional partners; spices and nuts worked from raw, never bought pre-blended. No artificial colors. No high-fructose corn syrup. The color in the cup is cocoa, cream, fruit, or nut doing the work. Milk, sugar, rice milk — cheapest possible custard; honey in micro-pour.

Dietary Information
